I have had the privilege of helping thousands of our clients throughout Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut as both Buyers and Sellers with all of their real estate needs since 1978. Having served first time buyers, families, corporate relocations, senior citizens and estates, both moving up, down-sizing or finding that first home, I’ve learned many things. First and foremost, the most important real estate transaction in the world is yours! Managing the process and navigating the way through from step one ultimately to the closing table is a complicated and emotional event that can be very trying on many buyers and sellers. Our job at Slocum Realty is to minimize that stress and be a calming influence to insure that the entire event both has a positive outcome and is enjoyable along the way.
Today, my roll has changed significantly through the growth and success of our company to become more of a guiding light, a mentor, a trainer and a resource always “on-call” for our agents and their clients. I am blessed to be able to provide to them history, insight, guidance and technical support as to the ever changing industry, transactions and responsibilities that evolve. Our highly trained, motivated and professional agent team enjoys this depth of support which provides them and their clients reassurance not present or available in many real estate companies. As the principal Broker at Slocum Realty it has always been, and always will be, the cornerstone of my career, and of every agent affiliated with us to provide the best quality service available anywhere in the real estate industry today. We have no interest in being the biggest, just simply the best. I believe our reputation is one that is based on honesty, sincerity and hard work and nothing will jeopardize that reputation…EVER!
I am married to my wonderful wife Lauren. I have one son, Nicholas who is my business partner. As the third generation in our company he is following the philosophy of the Slocum family with all his career achievements and providing incredible technology and marketing guidance to be sure Slocum Realty is always a leader in todays real estate environment. I also have two other children, Alicia & Sean who enjoy their own personal career success’s in their fields of expertise. Our three children and their incredible spouses have blessed us with 6 unbelievable grandchildren. I enjoy traveling, golf (although only as a spectator these days), the Patriots and Red Sox (even before they were World Champions) and most of all, boating where I previously achieved my 100 ton certificate and Captains License from the U.S. Coast Guard.
